Prices good, sharing bathroom so so, claw tub a disaster, had to leave every weekend because they had room booked so never really received there weekly 7 day price paid $55 night or more for 5 days. Stayed 6 weeks because of price, but drive to Midland was a bit long. Owners were nice.
Everyone is so friendly there. It was my first time staying, decently will return in future.

Vara guest house is a great place to relax, socialize and have a great time. Owners, Alex and Cyndi, provide an atmosphere that makes one feel like they are at home. At night you can sit and relax at one of many sitting areas, my personal favorite is the one by the Coy pond. Always lots of stars in the sky. Most of the guests gather around the fire pit in the evening to socialize, play a game of horseshoes or corn hole. Or bring the fun inside for a game of billiards. There is a living room area open to all guests if you feel like having a movie night. The rooms are comfortable, the kitchen area is adequate to cook meals of any size. All and all this is the BEST place I have ever stayed.
